Lindt Packaging Concept

Task

The project’s goal was to come up with, and design, a new line of chocolates for Lindt.

Solution

For my line of chocolate, I decided on the theme of looking back at Swiss history, and apply that inspiration in packaging for three different flavors.

To begin, I did some research into Lindt’s current branding for basic chocolates, seasonal lines, and any other variation.

After that, I gathered imagery from two different competitors to get a feel of the landscape.

For my line of Lindt chocolates, I decided to look at three concepts for how I might create my design.

The idea behind my line of chocolates was looking back at the Swiss roots of Lindt, so I looked at old Swiss architecture, landscapes, and modern watches.

After deciding to move forward with the landscape concept, I iterated and ended up simplifying its shapes to be more symbolic than representative.

Once I finalized the design, I set up layouts for the rest of the box’s information, and created color variations for the three flavors.

This step also meant I had to make my chosen typeface work with the information required to include in the packaging.
